Dr. Michaela Kadambi is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta.  She is committed to providing compassionate, caring and scientifically informed counselling/psychotherapy services to individuals and couples facing a variety of psychological difficulties and/or personal challenges.

If you consider sleep a luxury in your life it is time for a reality check. Sleep is a necessity for optimal physical and mental health. Researchers estimate that one quarter of Canadians are impacted by sleep deprivation!  Canadian women over the age of 55 are especially at risk for not having proper rest. Why does sleep matter?  Researchers suggest that lack of sleep is associated with increased risk of several diseases including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity and depression. Researchers estimate we need about 8 hours of sleep per night.  Are you getting enough?
